It’s less than a month now until our Thruxton event takes place. We are running a track day alongside the BMW Motorrad Demo day, and welcoming a Motorrad Riders ‘ride in’ for good measure.

We took the opportunity to ride the circuit a couple of weeks ago and it’s fabulous. There’s loads of grip and the open layout means you can really stretch the legs of your bike. The way that we are running the event will mean you will have plenty of space to enjoy riding without having to worry about trying to find clear track. If it’s your first time, we’ll be on hand to show you how it all works and where to go.

It’s all really relaxed and offers you the opportunity to ride a number of bikes, whether you’re wanting to buy or just curious with how a certain model may have changed.

The track event is only possible as the circuit will be set up with the correct safety equipment off the back of the British Superbikes round the weekend before. We are working with the circuit to try and promote more motorcycle events like this, so it is for road bikes only to encourage a safe and enjoyable day for novice riders up to experienced track day enthusiasts.

You will need either one-piece or full 360 zip together leathers.

• Any make of bike welcome (but BMWs more welcome!)
• Road bikes only please (slicks and tyre warmers are fine)
• Sessions in small groups (novice, inters, advanced)
• Limited numbers of just 70 riders
