Terms and Conditions

Please take a few minutes to read our terms and conditions before committing to one of our events. If you require any clarification please contact us on customer.service@bahnstormer.co.uk and we will endeavour to help.

We put together a range of events that we believe you will enjoy and in doing so will enlist the services of various third-party providers who we think will provide the best experience for you. Some of these companies will have their own terms and conditions. You should read any such terms and conditions with care as they too will apply to your participation in the event.

Booking and Payment, Refunds and Cancellations All bookings are made via the Bahnstormer website (or in store) on a first-come first-served basis. Payment is made by card online (Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Maestro, Amex) or by bank transfer and card in store (Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, Maestro). We will send you a confirmation email within 5 days to show receipt of your payment and details of your booking. Please carefully check the details and inform us of any errors or alterations.

The following payment and refund terms shall apply to all participants, without exception:

  1. At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit in the amount specified for the event being booked is required.
  2. Payment in full of the remaining balance of the price of your participation in the event must be received by Bahnstormer no later than 90 days before the event, failing which your deposit will be forfeited and your place will be offered to others.
  3. If you cancel your booking, Bahnstormer will refund any payment you have made, less the non-refundable deposit, provided that notice of your cancellation is received by Bahnstormer no later than 90 days before the event.
  4. No refunds of any kind will be made within 90 days of the event.

Acknowledgment of Risk

Because we run track and off road events there is always a risk of death or injury. The partners we choose will provide the best possible environment for you to enjoy these motorsport activities but there will always be an element of risk. By making your booking you acknowledge and accept this risk. For the avoidance of doubt, we are not responsible for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property which occurs in connection with the event in which you have chosen to participate.

Requirements for Participation

You must have a full, current, unrestricted UK driving licence issued by the DVLA that covers unrestricted motorcycle use. You may be asked to present this at point of registration of the event – failure to do so may mean you’re unable to participate. You need to be over 21 years of age at the point of the event commencing.

You must wear at all times on circuit:

  • Full zip together or one-piece leathers with a back protector for track riding.
  • A helmet that meets BSI 6658 type A and ACU approved in good condition • Durable boots and gloves with adequate protection in the event of a crash.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your clothing is always securely fastened on circuit.

For our off roading events you must wear at all times on the bike:

  • Strong motorcross style boots.
  • A back protector.
  • A helmet that meets BSI 6658 type A and ACU approved in good condition • Knee armour.

Both of our track and off road activities are strenuous so please ensure that your own level of fitness and ability are up to the level required. You will need to keep yourself adequately hydrated during the activities.

Vehicle requirements

Your motorcycle must be in good mechanical condition with plenty of brake and tyre life left for the duration of the event. Some of our events may require you to meet certain noise regulations – please check the event specifics. If you are in any doubt about the condition of your bike then please contact us to arrange servicing or repair.

Code of conduct

Your safety and enjoyment are our prime concerns while taking part in a Bahnstormer activity. You have a personal responsibility at all times to mitigate the risks inherent in your decision to participate. This means that you should wear all required safety equipment at all times. We ask that you respect yourself, other participants and staff on the event. At all times, Bahnstormer reserves the right to remove participants from the event who exhibit disruptive or dangerous behaviour or riding that risks their own safety or the safety or enjoyment of other participants and/or staff. Any damage caused to property or equipment as a result of any such behaviour or riding will be charged to the participant.

We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties such as hotels, airlines, ferry companies and European circuits including, without restriction, altering bookings, moving previously agreed dates or making errors.

Insurance

You must have suitable personal travel insurance – if you are unable to make the event at the last minute for reasons such as ill heath then you may be able to get some sort of reimbursement through your own insurance.

European Heath Insurance Card – when partaking in any European event we insist that you have a valid EHIC card. They are free and ensure that you have access to medical assistance should it be required.

Trackday Insurance – you need to have specific track insurance (medical not motorcycle) when you are on our European Events.

On some occasions the circuit maybe able to provide this for a fee but we generally recommend getting a policy in place in good time before departure.

For bike transport we use third party companies. Please check the specific event to satisfy yourself what level of motorcycle transit insurance is available, and, should you consider it necessary, purchase additional or alternative transit insurance. You will be responsible for packing your own bike in the UK and unpacking it at the destination so that you may satisfy yourself that there is adequate protection in place against transit damage.

Force Majeure

We cannot pay any compensation, damages, expenses, costs, losses or any other amount of any description or otherwise accept responsibility if we have to change or cancel a booking or your booking cannot be provided as or when agreed, or your booking arrangements prove deficient or you suffer any loss or damage of any description (including death or personal injury) as a result of circumstances or an event beyond our control. Such circumstances include war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial dispute, fire, natural or nuclear disaster, bad weather and all similar circumstances and, in all such cases, whether actual or threatened.

Please give us your Feedback

We really hope that you get immense enjoyment out of what we do. Should you feel that we could improve our offering then please give us your feedback, in person or in writing. As a business we are constantly striving to meet and even exceed our customers’ expectations. Your contribution to this exercise is both welcome and hugely important!
