It is also the first BMW motorcycle to be offered with the option of active cruise control that judges the distance and speed of surrounding vehicles by radar and adjusts the cruise control setting automatically.

This new RT can also come with Adaptive Headlights that cleverly swivel the beam into the corner so you are no longer left with a ‘black hole’ as the bike tips in. The beating heart of the RT is the now familiar BMW ShiftCam 136bhp boxer engine with variable valve timing to give you power, torque and efficiency exactly when you need them.
