South African Hudson Kennaugh (Trik-Moto BMW) won the first race of the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Donington Park. The Bahnstormer sponsored South African took the chequered flag 1.025 seconds in front of Joshua Elliott and 1.314 seconds in front of fellow BMW S 1000 RR rider Alastair Seeley (Tyco BMW Motorrad Racing).

Seeley led going into the last lap but Kennaugh passed him at McLeans to go on and take the flag.
