We have loved working on this project to create a very distinctive and beautiful Bahnstormer Edition based on the incredible BMW M 1000 RR. 

It’s designer is the super-talented Ziggy Moto, whose builds have featured at The Bike Shed Show where his Honda CB750 café racer was the poster bike for this year’s event. If you follow Ziggy’s Instagram account @ziggymoto, you will see the quality of work he produces with his ideas being worked up in virtual reality before being brought to life in his own workshop.

This bike is particularly special as Ziggy only does bike builds for maintaining his own sanity away from his day job as a Creative Director at a top international design firm. How we persuaded him to work with us on this we’re still not sure but we are very pleased that he did.

Of course, we required a top quality painter to bring it all to life and had to look no further than Image Design Custom to weave their magic for us as usual. The depth of colour is stunning and what you might not see in the photos is the carbon fibre trim panels have a matt finish including the Ilmberger belly pan which has a subtle ‘M’ logo across it. It’s this detail that makes this bike an absolute one-off and a joy to own.

And, to finish the look off you would have to have a custom painted Bahnstormer Edition BMW M Pro Race helmet to match.

 This ‘Iron Man’ Edition MRR is available for sale now and features a BMW high tinted screen, Ilmberger carbon belly pan and BMW Competition Pack.
