There has been much anticipation regarding the updates to the K 1600 GT and it is great to see that everything we wanted is present and correct. The latest semi-active Dynamic ESA suspension, Shift Assist Pro for seamless up and down shifting and the addition of Reverse Assist when added to the most delicious 6-cylinder engine make this the ultimate grand tourer. Styling has been revised along with instrumentation (clearer speedo amongst others) and the first appearance of an e-call system that will either automatically on detecting a crash, or manually via a button on the handlebars, send an alert to the emergency services and most usefully, the bike’s location co-ordinates to ensure help will be on its way.
