BMW at EICMA
New Models for 2018

EICMA in Milan is the biggest trade motorcycle show in the world and is often used by manufacturers as the preferred launch venue for exciting new models. BMW Motorrad is certainly no different as it today unveiled four stunning new bikes that are coming our way!

BMW F 850 GS

First up are the F 850 GS and F 750 GS. Both are completely new with a ‘conventional’ fuel tank (rather than the under seat design of the 800 and 700 GS) and the engine, whilst still a parallel twin, comes with more power (95 and 77bhp) and an emotive new ‘V-twin’ soundtrack. Gearshift Assist Pro, TFT Screen, DTC and ABS Pro, DESA, full LED lights along with a slipper clutch are all new options that will undoubtedly enhance the whole experience. BMW Motorrad certainly appear to be taking the fight to Triumph with their popular Tiger range and Honda with the Africa Twin.

These two bikes look and sound the business – we can’t wait to get hold of them and see how they perform both on the road and in the dirt!

Next up and hot on the heels of the K 1600 B ‘Bagger’ is the Grand America. Taking the bagger experience to the next level, the Grand America is the ultimate in luxury and style with a super-relaxed riding position to perfectly match the silky smooth straight-six power plant. We were really surprised how nice the Bagger was to ride and this should be no different – form and function at its best!

Finally is the C 400 X scooter, BMW’s latest addition to its Urban Mobility range. A 34hp single cylinder engine connected via a CVT transmission and controlled with powerful ABS braking and ASC traction control make this a great mid-sized scooter to get about town on. It also looks really stylish with options of LED lighting and BMW’s latest TFT connectivity.
